科大机械人比赛代表队再次夺冠
科大机械人比赛代表队击败六家本地大专院校共九组参赛队伍，在全港大专生机械人大赛2015中胜出。自2011年起，科大在该项比赛已连续第五年夺魁。
今年的比赛主题为「羽毛球争霸战」，鼓励大专生设计和动手组装机械人，亲身体验机械人工程。
科大计算机科学系学生兼队长区竣铭表示，「胜出大赛殊不容易。两组科大队伍共29名成员每日花上三小时练习及改良设计，使机械人动作更灵活流畅和精准无误。」
科大队伍将代表香港出赛，参加在8月于印尼举行的国际比赛亚太广播联盟机械人大赛 2015。
除了在机械人大赛中取得丰硕成果外，科大遥控水底机械人小队在6月底于加拿大举行的国际水底遥控载具大赛中亦勇夺四项殊荣。四个奖项当中包括Explorer Class组别第三名以及「Sharkpedo Award」，以表扬团队的创新和原创性。是项比赛吸引了来先十个国家或地区共26组精英队伍参与，包括普渡大学、俄罗斯海洋国立大学、华盛顿大学及纽芬兰纪念大学。
科大遥控水底机械人小队为这个国际赛事特别建造水底机械人，机械人能够在水底进行多达25项任务，包括检查和修复海底输油管、协助离岸油田生产及在巨浪的海底环境下维修。
