The HKUST Faculty Recognition Ceremony 2024 acknowledged the outstanding academic achievements of 22 faculty members in the 2022-23 academic year, including 11 who are from the School of Engineering or hold a joint position in the School.

Prof. Khaled B. Letaief received the IEEE James Evans Avant Garde Award 2024 at the 100th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in Washington, D.C., USA.
The HKUST-MTR Joint Research Laboratory’s digital twin project received multiple awards at the “Hong Kong ICT Awards 2024”, including the “Smart Mobility (Smart Transport) Gold Award”, “Best Use of AI Award”, “Smart Mobility Grand Award”, and the highest honor, the “Award of the Year”.
