Prof. Dan TSANG and Prof. LI Xiaomeng Awarded HK$9.8 Million in RGC’s Research Impact Fund 2024/25
Two projects led School of Engineering faculty members were awarded a total of HK$9.8 million under the Research Impact Fund (RIF) 2024/25 of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC). They are:
Project title: 3D Printing of Self-Regulating Biochar-Enhanced Concrete for Low-Carbon Intelligent Construction
Project coordinator: Prof. Dan TSANG, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Project title: OrthoAI: Mobile Tools for Early Orthodontic Management & Education in Children with Multi-view Multi-modality Language-Vision Foundation Models
Project coordinator: Prof. LI Xiaomeng, Assistant Professor of Electronic & Computer Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering
A total of 14 projects from six universities were awarded funding in this round.
