Ranking 16th worldwide, the HKUST Aero Team is the highest scoring Asian team among 107 international teams at the 2024 AIAA Design/Build/Fly Competition. This is also the best ever result achieved by the team since they first joined the competition in 2013.

Prof. Ricky Lee Shi-Wei is among the very few Chinese scholars who received the prestigious and long-established ASME Worcester Reed Warner Medal to date. He is also the only Chinese recipient with career fully developed in Asia.
