為物料科學研究發光發亮

在現代世界中,熒光分子發揮舉足輕重的角色。熒光分子能顯露肉眼不能看見的事物,包括應用於保安檢查以偵測爆炸品、環境監察、生物傳感,以及觀察和診斷癌細胞的擴散情況。科大所開發的新一類產生熒光(fluorescence)的物料敏感度高、特殊,而且穩定性出色,並具有「聚集誘導發光」(aggregation-induced emission)的特性,因而獲世界各地醫院及生物科技企業的青睞。如何把這些高增值物料轉化為商業應用更是一個迫切和重要的議題。
