科大與浦項工大推出工程學聯合博士學位課程
香港科技大學（科大）工學院與韓國的浦項工大（POSTECH）工學院達成學術合作協議，推出工程學聯合博士學位課程，使研究生可以先後在兩所大學進行研究。
在四年課程中，研究生在兩所大學分別就讀兩年。每位研究生由兩所大學各一位教授監督；兩位教授會與研究生共同草擬研究計劃，並由兩所大學的相關學系系主任事先批准。博士畢業生將會成為兩所大學的校友。首批學生預計最早可於2012年秋季入學。
科大工學院持續與亞太區及中東地區的頂尖大學不斷成立聯繫。這聯合博士學位課程揉合兩所大學的專長和經驗，為學生提供前沿研究的條件以及國際視野。課程會進一步加強科大研究生社群的國際化和研究水平。
科大／浦項工大的聯合博士學位課程是科大工學院與其他頂尖工學院又一個成功合作計劃。2009年，學院與韓國科技院（KAIST）亦達成類似協議。
