香港科技大學教授榮獲「教資會傑出教學獎」
香港科技大學(科大)電子及計算機工程學系工程教育副教授胡錦添博士，今日獲大學教育資助委員會（教資會）頒發2015年「教資會傑出教學獎」，以嘉許他的傑出教學表現和成就。
科大校長陳繁昌教授恭賀胡教授獲獎，他表示：「科大致力追求教研卓越，我們擁有具創意及充滿熱誠的教師團隊。胡教授獲頒這項殊榮，反映了科大提升教與學質素的努力，我對他獲獎感到很高興和鼓舞。」
胡錦添教授對於獲得教資會的認同深感榮幸，「我一直透過體驗式學習，培養學生的全人發展，這個獎項肯定了我的努力，對我別具意義。」
胡教授於1997年加入科大，是環球社會中心的創始總監以及機械人團隊的導師。他將專題作業融合於課程，透過創新的教學理念培養學生發展。他開辦一個主修課程，積極籌辦機械人創作比賽，致力發展學生的體驗式學習，樂見不少學生的成績不斷進步。胡教授任教的課程深受學生歡迎，他於2009年獲得工學院卓越教學嘉許獎。
胡教授鼓勵並帶領學生參與各項比賽，如機械人比賽、工程設計比賽及商業策劃比賽等。自2007年起，他的學生共贏得131個獎項和殊榮。胡教授對學生的影響殊深，並協助推動工程學院的教育發展。
最近，胡教授帶領學生和同事參與社區服務，研製先進的應用程式及水底機械人組件，以幫助有聽力障礙和弱視的人士學習。這項社區服務助學生提升多項重要及職業相關的技能。
教資會自2011年起頒發傑出教學獎，表揚教資會資助院校學者的優秀教學表現和成就，以及他們在院校內外為提升教與學質素所作出的貢獻及展現的領導才幹。
