科大与浦项工大推出工程学联合博士学位课程
香港科技大学（科大）工学院与韩国的浦项工大（POSTECH）工学院达成学术合作协议，推出工程学联合博士学位课程，使研究生可以先后在两所大学进行研究。
在四年课程中，研究生在两所大学分别就读两年。每位研究生由两所大学各一位教授监督；两位教授会与研究生共同草拟研究计划，并由两所大学的相关学系系主任事先批准。博士毕业生将会成為两所大学的校友。首批学生预计最早可於2012年秋季入学。
科大工学院持续与亚太区及中东地区的顶尖大学不断成立联繫。这联合博士学位课程揉合两所大学的专长和经验，為学生提供前沿研究的条件以及国际视野。课程会进一步加强科大研究生社群的国际化和研究水平。
科大／浦项工大的联合博士学位课程是科大工学院与其他顶尖工学院又一个成功合作计划。2009年，学院与韩国科技院（KAIST）亦达成类似协议。
