呼吸清新丛林空气
空调对办公室员工来说无疑是一项伟大发明，但亦会带来令人困扰的副作用。在日常的一天，空调办公室内的二氧化碳逐渐累积，氧气含量下降，令员工难以集中工作，容易感到疲倦和精神紧张。
有见空调对人体的害处，张迪（哲学博士, 生物工程学, 2014）和NeoForest 的创始成员，研发出光合作用效率相当于40平方米森林的空气净化器，以微藻代替过滤网净化室内空气。微藻透过光合作用释出氧气，吸收二氧化碳，并清除多种空气污染物。
作为来自中国的研究生，张博士和她的团队看到产品在国内市场的发展潜力。张博士表示：「2015年中国空气净化器的市场规模约为130亿元人民币，而目前市场上还未出现像NeoForest般效能的产品，这给了我们独特的优势和巨大的发展空间。」
通过科大100万元创业计划大赛，张博士的团队接触到了许多潜在的合作者，有兴趣将他们的设计商品化。目前，团队已向企业提供定制产品，预计NeoForest可在2018年之前推出市面。在不久将来，普罗大众都可享受清新的丛林气息。
NeoForest在6月举行的科大第六届100万元创业计划大赛，以及其后的广州南沙全国总决赛中两度勇夺亚军殊荣。
