香港科技大学朴之水教授获任命为亚洲开发银行首席经济学家
菲律宾马尼拉（2021年9月29日讯）— 亚洲开发银行（亚行）已任命香港科技大学朴之水教授（Albert Park）为新任首席经济学家。朴之水先生将于2021年12月15日就职。
作为首席经济学家，朴之水先生将担任亚行经济研究和区域合作局局长，领导亚行的政策研究、区域合作与一体化工作。该局负责编制关键分析预测和报告，包括亚行旗舰经济出版物《亚洲发展展望》。
“新冠疫情和气候变化正严重威胁着亚太地区已取得的显著发展成就，”朴之水先生表示，“我期待为亚行在长期提供知识和政策建议方面贡献自己的力量，帮助亚太地区实现绿色、韧性和包容性复苏”。
朴之水先生为发展经济学家，在该领域有20余年的丰富经验。作为对中华人民共和国（中国）经济有深刻理解的知名专家，他主持了中国的多个大型研究项目。此外，他还曾任世界银行国际顾问，以及亚太地区研究型大学人口老龄化中心指导委员会委员。朴之水教授的研究方向涵盖广泛的发展议题，包括贫困和不平等、代际流动、小额信贷、移民和劳动力市场、未来工作趋势和外商投资等。
朴之水教授目前任香港科技大学经济学讲座教授及经济政策研究中心主任。此前，他曾任香港科技大学新兴市场研究所创始所长、牛津大学教授和密歇根大学副教授。他还曾在多家领先的经济期刊担任编辑职务。
亚行在坚持消除极端贫困的同时，致力于实现繁荣、包容、有适应力和可持续的亚太地区。亚行成立于1966年，现有68个成员，其中49个来自亚太地区。
