三位工学院教职员获科大卓越核心课程教学奖 2023 嘉许
工学院三名教职员荣获香港科技大学卓越核心课程教学奖2023，以表扬他们在设计丶教学以及向学生推广核心课程方面所作出的贡献。奖项於2024年5月30日举行的颁奖典礼上颁发。
计算机科学及工程学系工程教育助理教授梁炜霆，凭藉「探索多媒体与网路运算」课程（CORE 1231 Exploring Multimedia and Internet Computing）荣获卓越核心课程教学奖2023。这个课程的学生以非工程专业的学生为主，梁教授在课程中开创了一套优秀的混合教育方法，令学生能够在富有趣味且有目标的学习环境中得到启发和培养计算思维的能力。
在此前，梁教授曾於2019年凭藉同一课程获得卓越核心课程教学奖荣誉奖。此外，他亦凭另一课程——「离散数学工具与计算机科学」（COMP 2711 Discrete Mathematical Tools for Computer Science）获得2021年的卓越核心课程教学奖。
工程教育创新中心副主任陈锐斌教授及工程教育创新中心助教Paul LAVIGNE先生凭藉「工程团队设计体验」课程（CORE 1200 Engineering Team Design Experience）获得卓越核心课程教学奖2023荣誉奖。透过在课程中为来自不同学系的学生设计具创意的任务，例如在互动实时的 3D 虚拟环境中设计和建造 2050 年的科大校园，他们释放了学生的创新思维，并提升了他们的解难能力和工程设计能力。
在此前，陈锐斌教授曾获颁卓越核心课程教学奖2016荣誉奖，其得奖课程为「土木工程与现代社会」（CIVL 1160 Civil Engineering and Modern Society）。
