Engineering Graduates Get Together at HKUST Alumni Reception in Beijing
The HKUST Alumni Reception in Beijing on March 3, 2024 brought together over 200 HKUST alumni, including more than 60 from the School of Engineering (SENG), to an enjoyable reunion of the University’s alumni community in the capital city.
Attendees were warmly welcomed by the HKUST delegation led by Council Chairman Prof. Harry SHUM, President Prof. Nancy IP, and Vice-President for Institutional Advancement Prof. WANG Yang. Prof. GUO Song from Computer Science and Engineering, Prof. Patrick YUE from Electronic and Computer Engineering, and Prof. YU Hongyu from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering also joined the memorable occasion to renew and strengthen ties with alumni.
The successful event, held at Beijing Hong Kong Jockey Club Clubhouse, was co-organized by the HKUST Development and Alumni Office, HKUST Beijing Office, and the Beijing Chapter of the HKUST Alumni Association.
To connect SENG MSc alumni in Beijing, a lunch gathering was hosted by the School’s Professional Program Office on the same date. Twenty-one engineering alumni from different MSc programs and cohorts joined the delightful lunch at a Chinese restaurant to catch up with each other and share their experience of the working world.
