科大教授榮登2014年全球最具影響力科學家排行榜
香港科技大學三位教授榮獲湯森路透選為全球最具影響力科學家，以表揚他們的傑出研究成就，並出席了十月十五日舉行的頒獎禮。
三位當選「2014年全球最具影響力科學家」的科大教授為：香港科技大學張鑑泉理學教授、中科院院士兼化學系講座教授唐本忠博士; 機械及航空航天工程學系講座教授、科大能源研究院院長趙天壽教授; 和化學系研究助理教授林榮業博士。
排行榜統計全球學者的文獻數量，得奬的近3,200位科硏人員在2002至2012年間在其領域發表的論文，被引述的次數位列各個領域的首１％。湯森路透指出這些科學家的論文「經常被其他科學家們評為具重要性和實用性」。
唐本忠教授多年來硏究有關「聚集誘導發光」（AIE）的新現象、新過程和新理論，開發其在化學、生物傳感及光電器件等方面的應用; 趙天壽教授在能源工程學享負盛名，在燃料電池、液流電池，和燃料電池中多相能質傳遞與電化學反應動力學的相互作用機理、建立了新的理論框架; 林榮業博士致力於和唐本忠教授一起硏究具有線性，超支化結構及先進功能性質的新型高分子。
科大教授是次獲獎印証科大發展優質學術質研究、以及創造具世界性影響力知識的視野和使命。科大將繼續積極發掘科技與工商管理的新知識，而不只是擔當傳統授課者的角色。
