The “HKUST-ExxonMobil iSTEAM Program 2023 – Spider Robot STEAM Challenge” drew around 160 students and teachers from 19 primary and secondary schools to learn about STEAM, teamwork and leadership.

The HKUST Underwater Robot Competition was attended by a record number of 86 primary and secondary schools in 2023 and concluded with an award presentation ceremony on June 3.
The HKUST Robotics Team took home eight medals in their first participation in the RoboGames, an annual robot contest in California, US that draws contestants from all over the world. This is the first time for the team members to join an international competition face-to-face after the pandemic.

Usman said 3MT® helped him put in perspective three very important things of his research: Why? What? How? Finding an answer to these three questions helped him realize the purpose of his PhD studies and maintain focus all these years.
