前港督衛奕信勳爵到訪科大簽訂學生交流協議
前香港總督、現任蘇格蘭阿伯丁大學校監衛奕信勳爵今日（星期三）到訪香港科技大學（科大），與科大師生會面，並與科大簽訂備忘協議，開展兩校本科生交流活動。
出席簽約儀式的嘉賓包括阿伯丁大學校監衛奕信勳爵、該校校長Prof Duncan Rice。科大署理校長錢大康教授、科大理學院院長鄭紹遠教授等。
錢大康教授致詞時表示，歡迎衛奕信勳爵這位科大老朋友今日重遊舊地，一起見證這所當年大家同心同德創立的大學之蛻變，及分享科大取得國際讚賞的成就。
衛奕信勳爵表示，得悉科大在短短十六年間，發展成為一所世界級一流研究型大學，感到欣喜。
今日簽訂的協議為期三年，正式開展科大理學院及工學院與阿伯丁大學的本科生交流活動。根據協定，兩所大學每年挑選兩名主修科學及工學的優秀學生到友校就讀一個學期，增廣學生見聞，擴闊他們的國際視野。
阿伯丁大學簡介
