香港科技大學畢業生就業能力躍升至全球第13位 繼續位列大中華院校之首
香港科技大學(科大)於本年度的全球大學就業能力排名(Global Employability University Ranking 2016) ，躍升一級至全球第13名，同時位列大中華之首。科大畢業生就業能力已連續四年高踞大中華榜首及全球首20名。
科大校長陳繁昌教授對大學排名上升表示欣喜，他表示：「科大畢業生長期獲評為環球人力市場中最具競爭力及最受歡迎的僱員之列，我深感驕傲。大學全人教育模式所致力培育﹕包括同學的國際視野及教研卓越等素質，不僅是排名中突顯的聘用考慮因素，亦是科大努力成就的核心價值之一。」
陳校長續指：「科大致力塑造一個培育創意與創業精神，重視多元文化及跨學科教育的學習環境，以拓闊學生的視野，鍛鍊他們解決問題的能力。科大將繼續培養更多人才。」
第七屆全球大學就業能力排名訪問了逾5,900名來自全球超過20個國家的招聘與行政人員，報告列出院校多個吸引全球僱主的重要因素﹕包括大學教員質素、研究設施、學術領域的表現、學生國際視野、大學聲譽及畢業生經驗等。至於僱主甄選員工的主要考量因素，則包括其靈活性、積極性、溝通技巧、適應力、對別國文化的敏感度及處理壓力的能力。調查由法國人力資源顧問公司Emerging及領先研究機構Trendence合作進行，訪問來自美國、中國、日本、英國、加拿大、澳洲、巴西、印度及其他地區的僱主，當中超過一半曾於國外招聘員工。
為加強學生的就業能力，科大積極與全球超過250間頂尖學府合作，包括逾200間交流夥伴學府，透過交流、實習與義工服務，加強學生的全球體驗。現時，超過一半的科大本科生會到海外交流一個學期或以上。
科大的學生就業中心則協助同學掌握最新就業資訊及僱主需求，並依其興趣作事業規劃。大學並充分利用與企業、專業團體及校友的龐大網絡，透過不同計劃及課程，提升學生的就業能力。當中包括近日推出的HeadStart卓越領先計劃，為年輕本科生提供全方位職場體驗及訓練，讓他們於競爭激烈的社會中擁有「領先優勢」。
