Alumni Kaleidoscope: Qingxin Su - PhD(PHY)
After working in the USA and then in England, Qingxin returned to China where he is now Director at Intellectual Ventures, a US-based global leader in the business of invention and owner of one of the world's largest and fastest-growing patent portfolios. He is responsible for invention development and IP licensing; business development; and liaison with various parties to develop the China IP business ecosystem. Qingxin has published over 30 technical papers and holds 8 patents.
Although he is staying in Beijing, his ties to HKUST and devotion to fostering closer ties among alumni in Beijing remains very strong. He is the Founding President of the HKUST Alumni Association Beijing Chapter since 2010. Under his leadership, a great variety of programs have been organized from time to time. It has successfully brought together a core group of enthusiastic alumni in the capital city.
