科大颁发2019年长期服务奖
香港科技大学(科大)举行年度教职员长期服务奖颁奖典礼，以表扬服务大学逾20年的教职员及非教学人员的贡献。
科大今年亦首次颁发30年长期服务奖。尽管大学只有28年历史，数十名来自财务、人力资源、设施管理、公共事务及图书馆等范畴的行政人员，早于1989年起已开始投身筹办科大的工作。
科大透过设立长期服务奖，向长期竭诚服务的教职员及非教学人员表达谢意，肯定他们的贡献，同时亦旨在建立科大社群对大学的归属感。今年共有43名同事获颁长期服务奖，包括28名30年期奖得主及15名20年期奖得主。
科大校长史维教授与一众副校长出席颁奖典礼，大学更特别邀请得奖者家属及亲友一起前来分享喜悦。
史维教授于典礼上致辞时表示：「我衷心感激资深教职员与非教学人员为科大所付出的每一分努力。没有他们的耕耘与贡献，科大不会成为今日一所教研质素备受认可的国际大学。我希望我们的同事能继往开来，与大学共同开创更美好的未来。」
