5-G无线系统的精彩世界
目前，全球正采用第四代（4-G）无线系统，但研究人员正日以继夜研发新一代5-G无线系统，预计将于2020年面世。未来的5-G系统如何领先当今的4-G技术？据称新系统的数据容量将会扩大1000倍，并能连接多达1000倍以上数量的设备，能源效率比现在优胜1000倍，届时即享有更快速的比特率（bit rate）及明显改善时延问题。此外，5-G系统将支持新的应用场景，例如机器间通讯（machine-to-machine communications）。要达到上述目标并非易事。在早前的科大 “Science-for-Lunch” 午餐座谈会上，刘坚能教授分享了他的最新观点和系统应用的情况，以及面对的技术性挑战和其中的机遇。
