运动是同学联谊的好途径。科大座落在景色秀丽的海滨，善用怡人的天然环境，全力支持发展校园水上活动。
科大的水上活动中心在2013年10月19日试用，并于当天举行龙舟友谊赛启动仪式。中心提供各种文娱活动和水上运动项目，包括龙舟、划艇、滑浪风帆、独木舟、帆船和其它多项运动，令校园生活更加充实。
科大致力缔造优良的校园环境，让学生共同参与具挑战性的户外运动，培养体育精神，养成公平的竞争文化、自律、坚毅和追求卓越的美德。
积极参与校园水上活动，有助学生在繁忙的学业中锻炼强健的体魄，通过群体活动建立长久的友谊，并善用科大优美校园的独特优势。
