「香港科技大学 – 港铁联合实验室」项目于2024亚太资讯及通讯科技大奖中夺得大奖及季军
由「香港科技大学 － 港铁联合实验室」团队开发的「铁路营运客流量预测及规划」项目，于2024亚太资讯及通讯科技大奖中夺得「业务数据分析类别」大奖及「工业类别－运输」季军，是继上月于「2024香港资讯及通讯科技奖」横扫包括最高殊荣「全年大奖」以内的四个奖项后，再度获得的两个奖项。
项目由科大工学院院长丶极智慧城市研究院主任及土木及环境工程学系讲座教授罗康锦教授领导。项目透过应用人工智能技术及大数据丶模拟及预测不同情况下香港市民出行的变化，以协助港铁车务团队作相应营运规划。
一年一度的亚太资讯及通讯科技大奖，是参与的亚太地区15个经济体资讯及通讯科技人才交流创新意念和建立夥伴关系的重要平台。本年度的亚太资讯及通讯科技大奖于12月4至7日在文莱斯里巴加湾市举行。
