Prof Christopher CHAO, Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been invited to serve as a scientific steering committee member in the Office of Public Health and Environmental Hazards

Prof Christopher CHAO has been invited to serve as a scientific steering committee member by the US government in the Office of Public Health and Environmental Hazards at the Department of Veterans Affairs to advise on allocation of resources in areas related to infectious disease control and prevention in the clinical environments of the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers from across the U.S.. 

 

Prof CHAO will be sponsored to attend meetings in the US by the US Dept of Veterans Affairs, Washington DC. This is a prestigious opportunity to get involved in the US Infectious Disease Control team and Center of Diseases Control in which mainly experts in medical science but not many engineers are involved.
