羅康錦教授獲選香港工程院院士
工學院院長羅康錦教授、工程師，JP獲選為2024年度香港工程院（前稱香港工程科學院）院士。本屆共有11位在工程領域作出卓越貢獻的人士獲選，名單於2024年12月9日舉行的第31屆香港工程院年度大會上公布，頒授儀式已於2025年1月20日順利舉行。
羅教授現為土木及環境工程學系講座教授及極智慧城市研究院創始主任，他自2023年1月出任工學院院長。
羅教授是智慧交通系統、智慧城市和可持續發展的傑出學者。他為香港研發了首個基於代理的動態交通模型，該模型已被業界採納及應用於網絡服務規劃；他就設置交通燈號迴旋處的研究也獲業界採納推行。羅教授對本地的學術研究環境有深入了解，而且積極與政府和業界協作。
香港工程院成立於1994年，是一個致力於推廣和促進香港工程發展的著名組織。它旨在推動工程領域的協作、創新和卓越質素，務求為社會的進步和香港及國家的發展作出貢獻。香港工程院的院士來自多個領域，他們在工程科學及其應用上均取得非凡成就，是他們所屬領域內備受推崇的領袖。
