綜合系統與設計學部學生榮獲2023年ASMPT科技獎金獎
由香港科技大學綜合系統與設計學部五位本科生組成的隊伍，憑藉其畢業專題項目贏得2023年ASMPT科技獎金獎。項目題為「重型機械及工人位置轉發器：以到達相位差(PDOA)技術提升工地安全」（Situational Awareness Location Transponder (SALT): A Phase Difference of Arrival (PDOA)-based System for Enhancing Construction Safety），由崔志英教授及梁嘉樂博士任指導老師。
組員包括張灝軒、廖栢軒、馬思朗、彭宇賢及施松林。為減少涉及重型機械及工人的意外，他們提出一套提升建築工地安全的系統，結合藍芽、超寬頻及慣性測量單元傳感技術來提供實時定位及軌跡。
該簡稱「SALT」的系統由三個主要硬件部件組成，分別是放在工人身上和機械上的標籤、固定於指定位置的定錨，以及發出提示和警號的顯示屏。標籤與定錨使用超寬頻技術進行準確定位，配以藍芽實現長距離通訊。標籤並設有慣性測量單元，能判定機械的方向和提供實際環境資訊。這套全面的系統除了透過設計回應工地的實際限制，也確保了執行上的成本效益和適應能力。
ASMPT科技獎由ASMPT Limited設立，旨在推動本港創科發展，設金、銀、銅獎以嘉許獲邀大學工程及相關領域的傑出畢業專題項目。本年度踏入第八屆，共有10項優秀項目獲提名，它們分別來自香港城市大學、香港中文大學、香港大學、香港科技大學和香港理工大學的工學院。各專題項目與匯報環節的評審標準包括技術表現、項目質素、創意、原創性、應用性和實用性。參賽隊伍於2023年7月7日向評審團進行匯報，頒獎典禮於同場舉行。
