「香港科技大學 – 港鐵聯合實驗室」項目於2024亞太資訊及通訊科技大獎中奪得大獎及季軍
由「香港科技大學 – 港鐵聯合實驗室」團隊開發的「鐵路營運客流量預測及規劃」項目，於2024亞太資訊及通訊科技大獎中奪得「業務數據分析類別」大獎及「工業類別－運輸」季軍，是繼上月於「2024香港資訊及通訊科技獎」橫掃包括最高殊榮「全年大獎」以內的四個獎項後，再度獲得的兩個獎項。
項目由科大工學院院長、極智慧城市研究院主任及土木及環境工程學系講座教授羅康錦教授領導。項目透過應用人工智能技術及大數據、模擬及預測不同情況下香港市民出行的變化，以協助港鐵車務團隊作相應營運規劃。
一年一度的亞太資訊及通訊科技大獎，是參與的亞太地區15個經濟體資訊及通訊科技人才交流創新意念和建立夥伴關係的重要平台。本年度的亞太資訊及通訊科技大獎於12月4至7日在文萊斯里巴加灣市舉行。
