科大工學院四項研究入選政府「產學研1+計劃」首批資助項目
政府早前公布「產學研1+計劃」的首批申請結果，24個項目成功獲得資助，當中香港科技大學（科大）工學院佔四項，涵蓋機械人、污水處理技術、傳感芯片，以及腫瘤成像領域。創新科技署於5月28日舉辦計劃的簽署儀式，與24位大學研發團隊代表簽署合作備忘錄。
入選「產學研1+計劃」的工學院研究項目名單：
機器人靈巧操作終端
申亞京教授、楊雄教授（電子及計算機工程學系）
以電化學技術處理高難度污水及污泥項目
陳光浩教授（土木及環境工程學系）
基於 CHAMP 顯微鏡的現場腫瘤成像
黃子維教授（化學及生物工程學系）
新一代高性能智慧數字傳感芯片解決方案
袁杰教授、陳俊杰先生（電子及計算機工程學系）
除以上四個工學院項目，由科大校長兼香港神經退行性疾病中心主任葉玉如教授，及中心首席科學家葉翠芬博士領導的「發展針對家族性阿茲海默症的基因治療策略」項目亦入選，令科大的獲資助項目合計共五個。五支團隊並於上月三十一日舉行的科大「獨角獸日」上獲嘉許。獨角獸日為科大的年度盛事，旨在展示大學的科研成果，活動當日吸引超過1,000位嘉賓親臨校園出席。
獲撥款100億元的「產學研1+計劃」於2023年正式推出，旨在釋放本地大學科研成果轉化和商品化的潛力，及促進政府、業界、大學及科研界的相關合作。計劃以配對形式資助不少於100支來自大學教育資助委員會資助大學、有潛質成為成功初創企業的研發團隊。每個獲批項目可獲1,000萬元至一億元不等的資助。
