技術轉移中心帶領科大研發團隊參加Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2019
Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2019（SWITCH）於2019年11月11-13日在新加坡博覽中心舉舉行，香港科技大學（科大）技術轉移中心帶領科大研發團隊參展，展示科大尖端技術。
Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2019（SWITCH）於2019年11月11-13日在新加坡博覽中心舉舉行，香港科技大學（科大）技術轉移中心帶領科大研發團隊參展，展示科大尖端技術。
SWITCH在2019年與Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 及TECHINNOVATION聯手，合力打造一個能夠把科學發現與進步轉化為能夠重新定義生活方式的技術應用。由於SWITCH側重於製造、城市方案、保健及生物醫學、數碼服務等技術應用，技術轉移中心在展覽中展示了16種科大發明，這16種發明共申請了50項專利，內容涵蓋生物科技、電子與資訊及通訊科技、智能材料等三大技術範疇。
SWITCH匯聚了環球技術從業員及愛好者，既為科大提供展示研發成果的機會，同時亦讓科大研發團隊接觸準合作夥伴，收集市場意見。在是次展出的16種發明中，尤以濾水系統示範得到廣泛關注，SWITCH的主辦機構之一——新加坡Intellectual Property Intermediary（IPI）更親臨科大攤位了解該發明，並指派經理跟進這項技術。除濾水系統外，科大室內定位技術也取得與新加坡蘋果公司的洽談機會。
「SWITCH為不同背景的創業家、投資者、研究人員、發明家及專業人士提供一個把技術商業化的平台，促進合作機會，」科大研發團隊成員表示：「我認為SWTCH是一個國際展覽，它能夠吸引有興趣探索海外技術的人群，很適合展出我們的研發成果。」技術轉移中心會繼續探索其他推廣科大技術的機會，強化技術發展，透過促進技術轉移造福社會。
