张军教授於《自然－通讯》发表具私隐保护的分布式学习技术
由电子及计算机工程学系张军教授其前哲学博士生邵嘉伟博士合着的论文「Selective Knowledge Sharing for Privacy-Preserving Federated Distillation Without a Good Teacher」，最近发表於国际知名的多学科期刊《自然－通讯》。
这个研究探讨了分布式学习中的私隐保障这个重要课题。他们提出的方法允许多个客户（例如银行丶医院）协作训练机器学习模型，而无需共享私隐资料。与现有的技术相比，他们的方法大大减低了训练过程中的通讯成本，增强了私隐保护，提高了模型的性能，并允许客户采用不同的模型。
是项研究与微软亚洲研究院合作完成，并由邵嘉伟博士担任论文的第一作者。邵博士於2024年初完成哲学博士学位，现为张教授团队的博士後研究员。
