李德富教授荣获「IEEE James Evans Avant Garde奖」
电子及计算机工程学系讲座教授丶新明工程学教授李德富教授获电机电子工程师学会（IEEE）颁发「2024年IEEE James Evans Avant Garde奖」，以表扬他在无线通讯领域的杰出领导和贡献。
这个重要的国际奖项由IEEE车辆技术学会颁发，旨在表扬在推动车辆通讯及电子领域创新科技方面的领导才能和持续贡献。奖项于第100届IEEE车辆技术会议上颁发，会议于2024年10月7日至10日在美国华盛顿举行。
李德富教授是国际称誉的无线通讯和网络领域学术翘楚，在其杰出的学术生涯中屡获殊荣，包括美国国家工程院院士荣衔丶美国普渡大学杰出工程校友奖丶南非约翰内斯堡大学荣誉工程学博士学位丶IEEE通讯学会Edwin Howard Armstrong成就奖，以及突尼西亚国家级荣誉「最佳突尼西亚海外研究员或发明家」。他也是IEEE丶香港工程师学会及香港工程科学院的院士。
李教授于1993年加入科大，历任多个高级行政管理职位，包括工学院院长（2009-2015年）丶电子及计算机工程学系系主任（2003-2009年），以及卡塔尔哈迈德．本．哈利法大学首席副校长（2015-2018年）。现时，他于科大同时担任校长高级顾问。
李教授多年来积极参与专业学会的会务，并于IEEE担任多项要职，包括IEEE通讯学会主席（2018-2019年），也是着名期刊《IEEE无线通讯学报》的创刊总编辑。
