李德富教授获美国普渡大学颁发「2024年杰出工程校友奖」
电子及计算机工程学系讲座教授丶新明工程学教授李德富教授获美国普渡大学工程学院颁发「2024年杰出工程校友奖」。颁奖典礼於4月11日在普渡大学举行，李教授是本届六位获选人士当中，唯一一位来自美国以外的得奖者。
李教授因其在计算机科学及工程学的卓越表现而获嘉许，他对涉及4G蜂巢式系统和其他先进无线网络的无线技术作出了具影响力的贡献。
李教授说：「普渡大学授予我的这个杰出奖项对我来说意义重大，我深感荣幸。」李教授早年於普渡大学完成了学士丶哲学硕士和哲学博士共三个学位。该年度奖项历史悠久，自1964年首次颁发，至今拥有达六十年的历史。
李德富教授是国际称誉的无线通讯和网络领域学术翘楚，在其杰出的学术生涯中屡获殊荣，包括美国国家工程院院士荣衔丶南非约翰内斯堡大学荣誉工程学博士学位丶电机电子工程师学会（IEEE）通讯学会Edwin Howard Armstrong成就奖，以及突尼西亚国家级荣誉「最佳突尼西亚海外研究员或发明家」。他也是IEEE丶香港工程师学会和香港工程科学院院士。
李教授於1993年加入科大，历任多个高级行政管理职位，包括工学院院长（2009-2015年）丶电子及计算机工程学系系主任（2003-2009年），以及卡塔尔哈迈德．本．哈利法大学首席副校长（2015-2018年）。现时，他於科大同时担任校长高级顾问。
李教授多年来积极参与专业学会的会务，并於IEEE担任多项要职，包括IEEE通讯学会主席（2018-2019年），也是着名期刊《IEEE无线通讯学报》的创刊总编辑。
