工学院两所实验室获研究资助局「中国科学院与香港地区联合实验室资助计划」拨款
根据研究资助局（研资局）近期公布的「中国科学院与香港地区联合实验室资助计划」拨款结果，两个由香港科技大学（科大）工学院教授带领的联合实验室获得资助。
这两个实验室分别是由电子及计算机工程学系讲座教授陈敬领导的「微电子联合实验室」和化学及生物工程学系系主任兼讲座教授邵敏华领导的「氢能联合实验室」。
「微电子联合实验室」通过计划的最新一次评估再次获得认可，获研资局资助187.5万港元，为期五年。实验室由科大与中国科学院微电子研究所合作成立。
「氢能联合实验室」则是计划下的新增实验室，获研资局资助125万港元，为期五年。实验室由科大与中国科学院长春应用化学研究所合作成立。
本届全港共有14间联合实验室获得资助，其中四间来自香港科技大学，除了两间来自工学院，亦有两间来自理学院。
