香港科技大學與加州理工學院推出客席教授交流計劃
香港科技大學(科大)與世界知名的研究學府加州理工學院，推出「加州理工學院─香港科技大學客席教授交流計劃」，以推動兩所院校於學術方面的長遠合作，及鼓勵教授在專業領域上建立持久的關係。
科大校長陳繁昌教授與加州理工學院校長Thomas F Rosenbaum教授於6月19日就交流計劃簽署合作備忘錄。交流計劃於2015/2016學年展開，除了可以拓闊科大教授的視野，亦有助科大及加州理工學院的教授在研究方面建立深厚及持久的合作關係。
柯氏家族基金會的柯萬柯先生向科大慷慨捐助，協助促成這次交流計劃。在正式簽署儀式上，柯先生說：「我在港澳地區成長，亦曾於加州理工學院求學，可以在連繫香港與加州理工學院方面出一分力，我感到非常榮幸。」
科大校長陳繁昌教授衷心感謝柯萬柯先生對科大的慷慨捐助，他說：「柯先生的慷慨支持，有助推動科大與加州理工學院的合作。科大是一所世界級的學府，致力締造國際化的教學及研究環境，加州理工學院亦是全球頂尖研究學府之一，今次合作有助建立強大的學術聯繫。科大教授透過與加州理工學院傑出的教授合作，定必獲益良多。」
加州理工學院校長Thomas F Rosenbaum教授說：「我非常榮幸可以與陳校長及一眾教職員合作，推出交流計劃。加州理工學院及科大的研究人員除了可以合作解決重要的課題，教授及學生亦可以透過交流計劃建立持久的連繫。我歡迎到訪本校擔任客席教授的科大代表。」
獲甄選參與計劃的科大教授會到加州理工學院擔任客席教授，為期最多一個學年，期間將會與加州理工學院的教授合作參與研究。
