弦夢成真
香港科技大學於三月二十三日假香港賽馬會大堂舉行「弦夢成真」音樂會，由十五名獲特別培訓的科大學生與科大管弦樂團合奏，更邀得蜚聲國際的小提琴家兼香港弦樂團藝術總監姚珏女士擔任獨奏嘉賓。是次音樂會是科大藝術中心主辦的2017年科大藝術節的重點活動，當晚吸引近千名觀眾到場，科大校長陳繁昌教授以吉他伴奏，參與演出Beyond 樂隊著名歌曲時，更是掀起了音樂會全晚的高潮。
科大雖是一所研究型國際學府，亦致力提倡學生對藝術和音樂的興趣，及鼓勵參與文化活動，培育學生全人發展，啟發創新思維，成就他們的錦繡未來。
學位課程以外，科大透過提升音樂方面的培育，讓學生發掘自己的多元潛能和實現夢想。是次音樂會是「弦夢成真師友計劃」演出巡禮的一部份，由香港弦樂團和八大院校合作，展開為期十八個月的訓練和演出。經過嚴謹甄選，參與計劃的學生獲香港弦樂團的音樂家專業指導和交流，並得到寶貴的演出經驗。
數周前在三月十一日，由八大院校的精英組成的「二十一世紀聯校樂團」，在奧斯卡獲獎作曲家譚盾的指導下舉辦了一場音樂會。獲選拔參與的演奏者當中，有七位是來自科大，包括兩位本科生，三位研究生和兩位校友。
