生物科技及商業
香港科技大學將於2016至2017學術年度開辦一個嶄新的跨學科課程 － 生物科技及商學理學士，課程設計正好體現科技產業與商業之間的重要聯繫。
新課程由科大理學院和商學院合辦，為全港首個結合高端生物科技知識與商業理論的學士課程。這個跨學科課程涵蓋數量相等的理學和商學課目，培養學生同時掌握基本技術知識（生命科學、生物科技）和營商技巧（會計、經濟、營運管理和其他範疇），建立穩固的學術基礎。
生物科技及商學理學士課程主任王殷厚教授指出：「生物科技行業近年在香港及大中華地區的發展急速，市場對兼具生物科技知識及商業專長的人才需求殷切。這個嶄新的跨學科課程將成為解決區內專業人才不足的方案之一。」
此外，另一課程主任黃健輝教授表示有關課程的特點是讓學生有機會涉獵多元領域，培育他們成為兼備生物科技知識及商業專長的人才，對畢業生日後求職或創業提供有利條件。
該四年制課程亦致力提升學生的創造力和批判性思考能力，擴闊環球視野，有助他們掌握生物科技最新的發展和應用前景。
