機械人在科大 扮演更重要角色
香港科技大學（科大）工學院今天舉行20周年節目巡禮。典禮內容顯示，機械人在科大的角色愈形重要。
在科大校長陳繁昌教授及工學院院長李德富教授致詞後，一個機械人出現了，並在講壇上發表講話。它用11分鐘介紹了工學院最新發展，包括為慶祝20周年而舉辦的活動。
李德富院長表示：機械人在科大將扮演更重要角色。科大的機械人比賽代表隊的人數比去年增加了七成半，並分為四個小隊，分別參加四個賽事－全港大專生機械人大賽、遙控水底機械人大賽、智能車大賽，以及NAO機械人大賽。
李德富院長補充說：上周末，科大遙控車小隊在香港水底機械人挑戰賽中獲勝。這隊科大學生將代表香港和澳門區於今年六月，遠赴美國休士頓美國太空總署，參加遙控車國際大賽。
