王幼行教授獲選美國土木工程師學會院士
工學院副院長（本科生教務）及土木及環境工程學系教授王幼行獲選美國土木工程師學會（ASCE）院士，成為該會僅3%獲此榮銜的會員之一。
美國土木工程師學會成立於1852年，現有逾150,000位成員，遍布177個國家。其院士均是該會資歷深厚的成員（具備最少 10 年的正會員資格），他們為改善人類生活建立了創新的解決方案，並作出了重要的貢獻。
王幼行教授自2022年1月起出任工學院副院長（本科生教務），並曾擔任土木及環境工程學系副系主任（2018-21年）。
王教授是臺灣的註冊岩土工程師，也是香港工程師學會的資深會員（Fellow）。其研究範圍包括人工智能在智慧和韌性城市的應用、岩土材料的非破壞性檢測、及岩土材料的微觀力學和DEM模擬。他是香港科技大學宏博延展大數據研究廳的主任。該研究廳是一個創客空間，專門研究物聯網、深度學習及大數據分析於可持續城市發展中的創新應用。
他曾獲得多項獎譽，包括2005年獲頒美國材料和試驗協會Hogentogler獎，2013年母校臺大土木工程學系的傑出校友獎。除此以外，王教授更在2016-17及2008-09年度兩次獲頒工學院的卓越教學嘉許獎。
王教授熱心服務其專業範疇內的國際及本地學術界，包括為多個ASCE相關的學術研討會擔任籌辦者/協辦者、委員會成員、分論壇主席，及論文審核人。他又曾獲邀擔任國際研討會的主題講師，及擔任多本學術期刊的副編輯和編委會成員。
王教授於國立臺灣大學取得土木工程學學士及碩士學位，並於喬治亞理工學院取得土木工程學哲學博士學位。他修讀博士學位期間更獲頒發獎勵優秀博士生的George F. Sowers獎。
