勞敏慈教授團隊連同信和置業合力制定全方位《減碳藍圖》
香港科技大學（「科大」）土木及環境工程學系講座教授勞敏慈教授與信和置業有限公司（「信和置業」）經過一年時間合作研究，為信和的《減碳藍圖》擬定科學基礎減量目標。信和置業於世界環境日前發表《減碳藍圖》，作為全方位的淨零碳路線圖，並訂立中期減碳目標，包括為其項目進行氣候風險評估，以助完善其風險管理系統。
信和置業自去年參與由聯合國發起的「Business Ambition for 1.5°C」聯署運動，隨即與勞教授領導的科大研究團隊展開研究及數據收集，針對集團的物業發展、營運管理及協同合作三大範疇，訂定具體減碳策略及中期目標，包括：（一）以2018年水平為基數，將每平方米的範疇一及範疇二溫室氣體排放量減少 53.1%的科學基礎目標，同時就範疇三溫室氣體排放制定減量目標（以上均採用科學基礎減量目標倡議組織的計算方式）；（二）以 2018 年水平為基數，將用電量強度減少 30% ；（三）為合適的全資擁有新發展項目進行氣候風險評估；以及（四）為所有合適的全資擁有新發展項目取得綠建環評金級或以上認證。
勞教授表示：「經過一年的緊密合作，我們很高興看見與信和一同制定的《減碳藍圖》正式落實推行，信和亦是制定相關藍圖的地產發展商先驅。這次合作讓我們的研究團隊有機會把減碳方面的研究成果轉化為有效的解決方案，為建築業及社區帶來廣泛的正面影響。同時，我們也攜手推動了可持續發展，透過實現減碳共同應對氣候變化。」
