IPO Outstanding Community Service Award 2018-2019

To recognize Interdisciplinary Programs Office (IPO) students who have demonstrated outstanding service to the university community and/or the community beyond the campus and foster students’ commitment in serving the society, IPO Outstanding Community Service Award is given to a maximum of 3 IPO students every year. This year, the Award was presented to 3 students at the Kick-off Ceremony of HKUST Global Days of Changemaking 2019 on 12 April 2019.

Applicants were interviewed and assessed based on the significance and long-term impact of their contributions to the community predominantly during the award year as well as their leadership and organizational abilities.

Awardees of IPO Outstanding Community Service Award 2018/19:

KWOK Ka Hei, Kristie
Year 4, Environmental Management and Technology Program (EVMT)
Kristie devotes herself in local and global education-related voluntary services as a tutor, educator and  mentor.

SHAO Che Kee, Koko

Year 2, Environmental Management and Technology Program (EVMT)
Koko is a leader of two uniform groups. She leads the groups to organize service projects, fundraising functions, visits and camps.

YU Pak Wing, Alvin
Year 2, Risk Management & Business Intelligence Program (RMBI)
Alvin joined various local services and co-organized international service trips.
