科大图书馆举办全港首个综合信息坊国际研讨会
全球逾十个国家有关图书馆信息的专家学者，今天云集香港科技大学（科大），参与由科大李兆基图书馆举办的全港首个综合信息坊国际研讨会，大家分享综合信息坊的发展经验，与研讨信息坊未来发展的新趋势。
科大李兆基图书馆于去年9月成立一个崭新的综合信息坊，在图书馆内，营造一个理想的学习环境和空间，利用最新的信息科技，向图书馆使用者提供个人、以至小组所需的学习支持，包括提供空间让小组进行研讨、简报；提供最新的计算器软件，支持使用者进行学习及制作教与学材料。综合信息坊投入服务后，备受使用者，尤其是学生的欢迎。
在信息坊运作一周年，科大李兆基图书馆特举办全港首个有关综合信息坊的国际研讨会，与会主讲嘉宾包括美国布朗大学（University of Brown）图书馆长Harriette Hemmasi 、澳洲维多利亚大学（Victoria University）副校长Belinda McLennan、该校图书馆长Philip Kent、学习支持总监Mr Tom Finnigan、语言服务总监David Donald以及英国格拉斯哥利多尼安大学图书馆数码服务的Iain Wallace。与会专家不约而同表示，综合信息坊是图书馆发展的大趋势。
研讨会在科大利荣达演讲厅举行两天（12月10至11日），大家分享综合信息坊服务的经验。出席研讨的各地专家学者分别来自澳洲、纽西兰、加拿大、英国、捷克、中国、马来西亚、新加坡、台湾及卡塔尔等。
