科大举办金融科技与人工智能教育论坛
香港科技大学（科大）大数据研究所，联同香港金融数据技术有限公司及微软亚洲研究院，举办大学金融科技教育论坛。
讲者包括香港智能金融技术有限公司联合创始人及行政总裁柳崎峰博士、深圳前海微众银行副行长及首席信息官马智涛先生、微软亚洲研究院主管研究员闫莺博士、以及科大计算器科学与工程学系主任暨大数据研究所主任杨强教授等。
科大校长陈繁昌教授在开幕致辞中强调，金融科技(Fintech)与大数据及人工智能研究在瞬息万变的世界中的协同作用。「在这个数码时代，反应迅速的社会才可使经济保持领先并具有竞争力。」
在陈教授看来，科大在金融科技的发展上处于领先地位。他表示：「业界对大数据和人工智能相关课程和研究的需求量很大。科大备有研究环境、教授、专业知识和合作伙伴，通过各方共同努力，令香港在金融科技技术范畴保持领先。」
除了主题演讲之外，论坛还举办了小组讨论，学生研究展示以及介绍FDT的BeeVest计划。
