香港智能建造研发中心与房屋局就创新建筑科技签订合作备忘录
香港智能建造研发中心与房屋局於2024年1月16日签署合作备忘录，建立策略夥伴合作关系。双方期望能够共同推动建筑业界升级转型，为未来庞大建屋量丶建造业劳动力短缺丶持续提升地盘安全等挑战提供解决方案。
香港智能建造研发中心由香港科技大学（科大）联同加州大学柏克莱分校於2020年携手成立，是香港特区政府「InnoHK创新香港研发平台」旗下的研发中心之一。中心由林高演工程学教授兼电子及计算机工程学系教授李泽湘领导，致力於将机械人丶自动化丶人工智能等先进技术引入建筑界，研究开发高度适用的创新产品，推动传统建筑业界转型升级。
合作备忘录在房屋局局长何永贤丶署理创新科技及工业局局长张曼莉和香港智能建造研发中心董事会主席兼科大协理副校长（知识转移）金信哲博士见证下，由香港智能建造研发中心副主任梁浩博博士和房屋局常任秘书长／房屋署署长罗淑佩共同签署。
是次合作的三大方向是智能天秤丶智造工地及智慧屋邨。
金博士在致辞时表示，香港智能建造研发中心十分期待与房屋局的合作，深信未来能将科技研究成果充分转移和应用於建筑领域，亦希望将来在智能建筑领域，能看到像大疆创新这样具有开创性的科技公司出现，用科技的力量为建筑业赋能。
