罗康锦教授获委任为工学院院长
罗康锦教授获委任为工学院院长，任期由2023年1月1日开始。
罗教授服务科大多年，现任土木及环境工程学系讲座教授及极智慧城市研究院创始主任。他於1991年在俄亥俄州立大学取得土木工程博士学位，及後任职於美国橡树岭国家实验室及加州大学柏克莱分校。他於1996年加入科大成为土木及结构工程学系助理教授，2001年晋升为副教授，2007年晋升为正教授，再於2014年擢升为讲座教授。
罗教授是智慧交通系统丶智慧城市和可持续发展的杰出学者。他为香港研发了首个基於代理的动态交通模型，该模型已被业界采纳及应用於网络服务规划；他就设置交通灯号回旋处的研究也获业界采纳推行。罗教授对本地的学术研究环境有深入了解，而且积极与政府和业界协作。他现时担任《Transportmetrica B: Transport Dynamics》的创始主编，也是《Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems》的行政编辑。 罗教授屡获殊荣，包括每三年举办一次丶享负盛名的世界交通研究大会大奖，以及工学院颁发的卓越研究奖。罗教授热心教育，至今已三度荣获工学院的教学嘉许奖，以表扬他对本科及研究生教学的贡献。
罗教授拥有丰富的学术行政经验，在科大历任多个重要行政职位，包括工学院副院长（本科生教务）（2011-2015年）丶土木及环境工程学系系主任（2015-2021年）丶 极智慧城市研究院创始主任（自2018年起）丶「可持续发展智慧校园」计划学术主任（自2019年起），以及多个各级委员会的主席。罗教授具备出色的学术领导才能丶卓越的行政经验，加上非常熟悉工学院及科大，是加入高层管理团队的理想人选，他将引领工学院再创佳绩。
