高等研究院东亚银行教授邓青云教授获颁2019 年京都赏(先进科技)
日本稲盛财团宣佈颁发2019 年京都赏(先进科技)予高等研究院东亚银行教授邓青云教授，表扬他在发明有机发光二极管及其相关应用中所作的创新贡献。京都赏是该财团颁发的年度奖项，以表彰於先进科技、基本科学、艺术及哲学领域中，获得世界性杰出成就的人士。
自该奖於1985年成立以来，邓教授是首位香港出生的华裔学者荣获此项殊荣。每位获奖得主均可获赠一张奖状、一枚20K金京都赏奖牌，及一亿日元奖金。京都赏颁赠仪式将於2019年11月10日於日本京都举行。
