IPO Industrial Fellowship - Career Insider Series: Science x Law = xTech Opportunities
IPO Industrial Fellowship “Career Insider Series” is held regularly to provide insights and insider tips of different industries to IPO students. On 15 November 2017, our inspirational fellow, Mr. Nick Chan, MH, Partner, Squire Patton Boggs, who had a cross-discipline exposure from computer science and law, shared his passion on why and how multi-disciplinary brought him new opportunities.
Students enjoyed the night as Nick reviewed their cases individually and pointed out things they might not notice, which helped them jump out of the box. Nick also revealed that legal profession field started turning to hire technologist like engineers and analyst. Students feel more confident being in interdisciplinary major and believe it could bring them new competitive edge.
It was always good to gain experience from others’ stories. There are still many chances to meet our fellows in IPO Fellowship Program. Stay tuned for the coming events next semester!
