CPEG undergraduate received 6-year Full Scholarship from Carnegie Mellon University
Kino LIN Jialiu (BEng (CPEG) Year-3) received a full scholarship in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh PA. Graduate studies in Computer Science in CMU was ranked No. 1 in the US by the U.S. News & World Report's Graduate Ranking 2008. The scholarship will cover her six-year study for a PhD degree in the world-leading research university.
"Certainly HKUST and CPEG have given me a lot of opportunities and exposure in the field of computer engineering. The curriculum of CPEG covers a broad and well-integrated background of software and hardware, laboratory work and research training. Students can really explore their potentials and interests in the field," Kino said. She is also grateful to Prof Gary Chan, CPEG Program Director, who gave her invaluable advice on her application for graduate studies.
