Chloe Chan Ho Sum Receives the Stephen Cheong Kam-chuen Medal for Distinguished Service to the Student Body
Chloe Chan Ho Sum, CBE year 3 student, has been awarded this year’s Stephen Cheong Kam-chuen Medal for Distinguished Service to the Student Body for her outstanding achievements related to HKUST and the Students’ Union.
The award was established since 1993 and it is given to the student who best exemplifies the qualities of caring, constructive and dedicated leadership.
Chloe was appointed President of the Students’ Union Provisional Executive Committee for the 2017-2018 session by the Students’ Union Council. Chloe showed her strong commitment to serving the student body with a small team, and demonstrated her leadership ability by shouldering student body responsibilities while serving University committees, and coordinating student events. In challenging times, Chloe worked closely with the University to facilitate effective communication on various student issues.
