科大頒發2019年長期服務獎
香港科技大學(科大)舉行年度教職員長期服務獎頒獎典禮，以表揚服務大學逾20年的教職員及非教學人員的貢獻。
科大今年亦首次頒發30年長期服務獎。儘管大學只有28年歷史，數十名來自財務、人力資源、設施管理、公共事務及圖書館等範疇的行政人員，早於1989年起已開始投身籌辦科大的工作。
科大透過設立長期服務獎，向長期竭誠服務的教職員及非教學人員表達謝意，肯定他們的貢獻，同時亦旨在建立科大社群對大學的歸屬感。今年共有43名同事獲頒長期服務獎，包括28名30年期獎得主及15名20年期獎得主。
科大校長史維教授與一眾副校長出席頒獎典禮，大學更特別邀請得獎者家屬及親友一起前來分享喜悅。
史維教授於典禮上致辭時表示：「我衷心感激資深教職員與非教學人員為科大所付出的每一分努力。沒有他們的耕耘與貢獻，科大不會成為今日一所教研質素備受認可的國際大學。我希望我們的同事能繼往開來，與大學共同開創更美好的未來。」
