在科大作為頂尖學術機構的25年間，經歷了一段非凡的研究之旅。要了解本校科研最新動向，Research@HKUST 是不容錯過的讀物。
從結構生物學到城市可持續發展，人性化機器人，大數據，顛覆性創新，以至解構中國金融業的神秘面紗，科大在應對全球和社會挑戰方面展示了其研究的廣度。事實上，大學教育資助委員會最近公佈的研究評審工作報告顯示，科大的學術表現名列榜首，其中70%的研究達「世界領先」（四星）或「國際卓越」（三星）水平。
對剛於2016年慶祝創校25週年的科大而言，能夠由寂寂無名的大學迅速躋身全球頂尖學府，上述成就更是難能可貴。雖然科大的規模不大，教職員及研究生人數分別只有650 名和5,000名，但憑藉對科研的願景、承諾、遠見及齊心協力，孕育師生的好奇心，激發他們的探索和創新精神，科大才能建立今天的影響力及聲譽。
科大的研究領域與其五大策略焦點（數據科學、機械人及自動化系統、可持續發展、設計及創業、公共政策）一致，涵蓋科學、工程、工商管理、人文與社會科學，以及其他具深遠影響的議題。最新一期的Research@HKUST，收錄科大於不同學術範疇的科研成果，亦新增了有關科技進步衍生大學初創企業的專題環節。
