「科大侍學日」揭開序幕
九百師生校友參與四十七個社區服務計劃
為響應全球青年服務日，科大侍學行籌辦了第六屆「科大侍學日」，於4月16至19日期間發動全校成員，包括學生、教職員及校友一同走進社區參與不同的義工服務，開啟社區參與的大門。
一如以往，「科大侍學日」反應熱烈，今年共有九百多人次參與四十七個服務計劃，以回應各個社區及社群人士需要，包括 社區剩食回收、家訪基層家庭、籌辦英語及科學活動予基層學童、推廣死後捐贈器官、外展接觸困乏人士等等。服務對象不分年齡、階層、種族，當中包括獨居長者、內地新來港兒童及南亞裔學童、智障及肢體殘障人士，遍及被遺棄動物及自然環境。
社區合作伙伴及服務對象均讚賞義工的無私奉獻，義工亦能藉此認識社會，並學懂以不同角度審視複雜的社會問題及社區需要。
為了鼓勵更多科大同學關心社會，科大侍學行將於4月29日至5月8日期間在香港賽馬會大堂舉行「科大侍學日」展覽，展示各個計劃情況與義工心聲分享。
