沈劭劼教授研究團隊獲頒《IEEE機械人與自動化快報》最佳論文獎
香港科技大學電子及計算機工程學系沈劭劼教授及其研究團隊成員撰寫的論文，榮獲2023年《IEEE機械人與自動化快報》最佳論文獎。
他們的論文由《IEEE機械人與自動化快報》編輯委員會從 2023 年在快報上發表的 1,200 多篇論文中選出，成為該獎項的五個獲獎團隊之一。
論文題為「H2-Mapping: Real-Time Dense Mapping Using Hierarchical Hybrid Representation」，由沈教授和他的博士生蔣辰星（第一作者）、劉珮澤和余澤寰，以及前博士生周博宇博士（現任中山大學助理教授）及中山大學的研究人員合著。
該論文發表於 2023 年 10 月，它提出了一個基於神經輻射場的機械人實時密集映射框架，名為H2-Mapping。H2-Mapping採用分層混合展示進行場景建模，並採用覆蓋最大化策略進行關鍵影格選擇，顯著提高邊緣裝置上的映射準確度和實時效率。
該獎項於 2024 年 5 月 13 日至 17 日在日本橫濱舉行的IEEE機械人與自動化國際會議上頒發。
除這個獎項外，沈教授及其部分團隊成員也於會議上獲頒《IEEE機械人學報》傅京孫最佳論文獎。
